Maile actually helped in the memory carving I had planned for them as well. I guess five years old is when my kids start giving a damn about things that I’ve been TRYING to tell them are fun!!
Laina was barely interested. She came over briefly to see what was going on, but mostly kept about a 4 foot distance between Maile and the pumpkin guts.
I skipped the complicated “bat” design this year and fell back on my tried and true “basic shape” jack-o-lantern look.
Kainoa was in on the action…I’m workin’ on him early.
But Maile did most of the work.
Laina came back for the grand finale as predicted, but left as soon as the lights were on.
No need to rant about how talented I am…I think my jack-o-lantern says it all:
Perfection.
