Well it’s not technically his FIRST winter per se, but it’s the first winter where I let him out to walk around and meet the snow…and he loves it….so long as it doesn’t actually touch his skin.
He looks like a little fat girl in this picture…I hope he doesn’t get upset at me later in life for making him wear a pink snowsuit. Sorry Mister.
His first taste of hot chocolate:
We decided to take the kids on a little evening winter walk. It was fun because they could run down the middle of the street and not worry about getting hit by any cars…well…there was that one…
Look how happy Kainoa is!! At least…at first…thing is we misplaced his gloves and he was forced to go gloveless…about thirty seconds after the following picture was taken he fell down and made snow to skin contact with his hands. This caused an intense cold he had not previously experienced which sent him in to a panicked freak out where he proceeded to cry, nay, SCREAM the entire rest of the way.

I rushed him home as fast as I could and calmed him with promises of finding his blanket. I brought him straight to his room, turned on his rain, grabbed his blanket…and he fell asleep right then and there in my arms.
