I get the WHOLE week off!!! Are you jealous?? The last time I took this much time off was Thanksgiving…I think I took the Wednesday before Turkey Day off and therefore created a five day weekend for myself. I can’t remember the last time I had one solid whole entire week OFF.
Don’t get me wrong…I love the daycare and I love the daycare kids, but I’m definitely looking forward to a little break. I promised the girls that this week would be a week of fun and that we could do anything they wanted to do barring that it doesn’t cost too much money. Sooooo Disneyland is out. Sorry Maile.
The week of fun started off with a bang because some of Pat’s family came into town to help celebrate a nephew’s high school graduation. I love the Hawaiians. Plain and simple.
This is Pat’s hard core brother…as in Marine Core hard core…but beneath it all he’s got the sweetest heart. Even though he was telling to Kainoa to go get the ball so that he could “whack him wit it”, you could still feel the love. LOVE him!
And it’s great that my babies get an opportunity to meet the rest of the family without traveling across the ocean and therefore causing me to drink excessively. I just wish more of them could have made it over. Pat’s brother’s wife is a special favorite of mine too. Filled with the Aloha spirit. One of those wonderful people who really ARE that wonderful. She stayed back to take care of her Mom and you could really feel her absence.
Here’s Maile with the high school graduate who was sweet enough to help her catch her first fish! She had been working on it for awhile with him and his girlfriend and as soon as I left with my camera she reeled one in. Naturally.
I have lots more pictures to share of our time with our Hawaiian Ohana…and lots more fun to have this fun week…and lots more drugs and what not to do. But no one will have more fun or do more drugs than Pat. He beat us all out on day one.
For those of you who were with me on Twitter the other night…here’s a picture of my man having a LOT of fun with his nephew before he passed out in the car. In fact…Pat hasn’t drank this much “fun” since we were married nearly seven years ago. Look how happy he is!
Needless to say he wasn’t feeling so happy the next morning when he woke up with a queasy tum tum. That fun comes with a price now doesn’t it!?!
