“Hey, I’m going to downstairs now, the kids are in bed…can you bring Kainoa his blanket in a bit and take my phone away from him?”
“Sure…” he said.
Except at 11:30 pm on my way to bed I found Kainoa’s blanket in the same spot on the floor where I left it.
“FIVE MORE MINUTES MOM!”
He was whispering out to me before I even entered his room.
“I JUST GOTTA POP MORE BUBBLES!”
Playing a bubble game on my iphone for TWO AND A HALF HOURS???
I took my phone and marched right over to our bedside where my husband peacefully lay.
“PAT! (that was a loud whisper, not a yell) PAT! I asked you to bring Kainoa his blanket and get my iphone from him! What have you been doing!?!”
“Sleeping?” He said.
“Wrong!” I said, “You’ve been watching basketball and playing with your Ebay account…THAT’S what you’ve been doing isn’t it!?!”
“Yes.” He said.
“Well Kainoa is STILL awake and it’s ALL your fault!” I whispered loudlier.
“I’m sorry.” He said.
Hmph.
