2.) Tell us about a prank someone played on you or vice versa.
There is a short trail near our house and when I saw my daughters exploring the 200 square feet of wild life with friends I decided it was the perfect opportunity to prank them.
It’s not unusual to see rabbits and Lord knows we’ve found our fair share of stray cats in this neighborhood, not to mention the raccoons…it’s practically a wildlife refuge.
I crouched down behind a bush and made the tiniest, sweetest sounding kitten mew.
It’s the kitten mew I’ve been perfecting my entire life.
I let out my first desperate cry, “mew!”
And it worked instantly.
Maile was the first, “Did you guys hear that!?!”
And then again, “MEW!”
I was adorable. And obviously missing my mother. A sad kitten…needing help.
“Mew! Mew!”
“A kitten you guys!!”
I heard them scurrying towards me, the rustling of the leaves on the trail, “MEW!”
And for a moment I actually wished there was a lost kitten, the look of concern and hope on those sweet little faces made me feel a little terrible about my prank, but I was in too deep.
I couldn’t turn myself into a kitten so I did the next best thing, “RAWR!!!!”
The kitten turned into a monster/mother hiding in the bushes and the girls squealed and ran away.
My prank was a success!
But now I want a kitten.
And I think they hate me a little.
