In the past week, three people I know have had babies. And I have another baby shower to go to on the 22nd. I was undecided about having a third, but holding those newborns makes me ache for another.
I just wish I was rich enough to hire a night nurse. ;-)
I know, it’s hard not to want another one when you see your babies growing up so quickly – getting ready to leave you at home. So, you have to have another, what else ya gonna do when they’re gone?
They also put in cramp in your life style and deprive you of sleep.
I still love babies.
Crazy thing. I was shopping yesterday on the drive home and I saw a backpack at this outlet store (they get damaged merchandise from like J. Crew, etc.) and there were all these backpacks with names already embroidered on them that obviously had small flaws. One was Laina!
hahahaha, love it! I feel the exact same way … in an extremely selfish sort of way I’m just a bit jealous of my pregnant sister-in-law … I think I need someone to slap me too :-)
I have been going through this too. I see pregnant ladies and think “I could do 4” and then reality comes and slaps me in the face. If only I were younger.
You should totally do it!! You are a great mom and I could tell yesterday with your blue eyed baby post on facebook that you are eyeing them! Haha. Good luck!!
I’m glad I got fixed after three- cuz those I wanna baby now! feelings are really strong and often mess with coherent thought. Couldn’t you just foster a kitten or something? really! Now that mine are 17 and 14, I am free to do things without a diaper bag or butt wipies. I like it. I’ll wait til I have grandkids.
Oh, but those little newborn faces….just too adorable. I kept staring at this tiny little baby in church the other day. The parents probably thought I was going to try to steal her.
I say you should go for it and heck this time make it triplets. All the cool mommy’s have triplets.

You know, all kids grow up. On their way to grown up, they pass through several stages – like “I know it all” 11-ish for boys (girls hit that stage at around 6), then they become teenagers. It’s many years before parents have a brain again. Think seriously. Being a grandparent is the ideal – they’re around when you want and then go home. Have patience.

Ok…you realize that your children are going to grow up and become…brace yourself for this ugly word…”teenagers”! Please for the love of God, please save yourself now and have no more, you can thank me in about 10 years once you have 3 teens sucking the life out of you. Hey…here’s a thought…open a home daycare – then you can just “borrow” babies :-)
haha, that is hilarious!!! My husband and I are going to start trying for our 3rd next month, I’m a little nervous, and SO not looking forward to being pregnant again, ugh!
You are braver than I! I am feeling tapped out with my 2 kids! My sister just had a bad so I can give her cuddles and then send her back home to wake my sister up every hours at night. I enjoy my sleep.
Woohoo! Good luck! :) My Little Miss is turning 1 in 2 months and I cannot believe how quickly we got past the 1st year. She’s going to be a toddler soon and I want my baby back! Sigh.
This is how I feel…I dread the day they’ll leave. The other day, I actually had the same thought of having more because the breastfeeding was coming to an end and it occurred to me that I may never experience that bonding experience again….and then I snapped out of it and realized that twin infants is enough for now thank you!

Dear Pat,
Do not drink the kool-aid. You’ll regret it. And have a red moustache.
But you already knew that. It’s another reason Kat should add to the list of reasons why she loves you. Which is long overdue for a new post.

If you’re going to do it again, silly woman, I’d recommend not waiting until your oldest child is in college, like I did.
Thirty four years on a job with no pension plan – and no retirement date in sight yet.
And when you say “party”, do you mean that you go home at 8pm, happily smelling of baby puke and strained carrots?
Wouldn’t it be more fun to have a wild social life and tell all the housebound moms about it, while they moan and drool with envy?
And isn’t Rudy enough for ya?

as always, your subtlety is astounding.

Dude, met my friends nanny at the park. I thought about stealing her and running. I can’t even imagine how nice having one of those would be!

I’ll let you borrow my teenager when she has PMS. That should cure you of wanting anymore kids.
