I got to listen to my brother give my nephew the best advice ever when we were driving to my sister’s house the other day. My nephew is getting close to high school age and I guess my brother felt compelled to give him advice he wished he’d followed.
I felt honored to be sitting in on this “man talk” so I kept my lips sealed.
Wise wise words.
Losing Brownies says

OH SO TRUE!!!!!!!!! And also true for the opposite sex. Can’t tell you how many guys from high school who were “geeky” turned out to be real hunks in later life. Some things get better with age :-)
Rebecca @ Unexplained X2 says
Now THAT’S good advice!!! I love hearing those moments and either being enlightened or just confused. After all, some men are still clueless even when they’re all grown up!

Excellent advice. All boys should be told this. Leave the bullying to the girls. They are better at it anyway.

This was a really funny post…and by the way your brother looks a whole lot like Kypton from the Bachelorette. Do you see it?!
Aimee says
Such great advice! I agree. The smoking hot girls in hs are now fat and ugly (ok maybe thats going too far…can you tell I was the nerdy loner in school?) and I was made fun of a lot for my “little kid looks” “boring hair” “no boobs” and “flat butt” and now I like to think I am pretty hot ;)
So this is great advice!
liz says

Hey, it’s a start. (It would be nice to be nice to all the girls even if none of them were ever gonna be hot, but hey, one step at a time.)

Dude. Could he be more right???

Who says men don’t understand women?
If he has any more insights into the psyche of women maybe he should write it down and sell it… He’d make a fortune!
Glad he gave his son such good advice… he just MIGHT get married someday!
