I have always loved cooking with my kids in the kitchen. I love watching their little brains operate. I love filling the time with an activity. I love that they feel like they’re doing something special.
In this case, I set up my (great) niece Harper with a Libby’s Pumpkin Bread kit that I found at Target. The last couple kitchen videos I’ve done with her I’ve opted for somewhat easy boxed recipes and this (not sponsored) was probably the world’s easiest pumpkin bread. AND you get two loaves for just 5 bucks on the kit. When she learns to crack an egg maybe we can move forward onto something a little more challenging.
For now, I was seriously impressed with how good this bread turned out, even though she refused to taste her own homemade baking. Take a look:

Baby steps!
And I know she’s not a baby anymore, but I can’t stop calling her that. She’s still kind of a baby right??

It’s ridiculous how adorable she is – and yes, she’s still a baby. And I don’t blame her for not trying it, I’m not a fan of pumpkin either.

Just found out about a book that says you can make the day’s worth of meals in 18 minutes and it will include the nutrition according to the USDA guidelines! I have 18 minutes! You can go to the website and sign up for a coupon when the book launches in November. http://www.18minutemealplan.com
