3. Who needs a vacation when you can spend your summer doing this…
My new favorite thing to do is find local places we’ve never been before and GO! Since I want my kids to be excited about these adventures, many of these places serve ice cream, but I am open to other possibilities! I recently shared the fun we had at the Neko Cat Cafe in Seattle.
Since then we have hit up two ice cream joints and a donut shop. The first ice cream shop was called Homefront Smoothies and Ice Cream and it was filled with Hawaiian vibes and reggae music:
We traveled to Georgetown near Seattle for donuts and coffee at Lowercase Brewing and Side Hustle Donuts:
And we ventured to a place called Vivo53 in for some desserts I only dreamt about when I was my kids ages.
None of these restaurants are compatible with my new NON-diet-healthy lifestyle I’m now living, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for these types of adventures.
Last year we spent two weeks of our summer in Hawaii visiting family…and while I would go again right now in a heartbeat if I could, I suppose local lollygagging is as good as any vacation to the islands. Right??

Here’s to local lollygagging!
OMG, those desserts – like something from a fairy tale! (…with a gristly ending)

Lollygagging, huh? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDaFcQJC4z8
Local lollygagging is the way we vacation. In fact, local lollygagging is the story of our lives.
I like the way you think: Local lollygagging with food…
