2. List 5 places on you would love to stay locally with your family.
I’m always checking out local places to stay at with my family. My sister and I take a couple of days to spring break somewhere locally and my family also goes on an annual camping trip, but there are a few places I’ve seen that are slightly out of our budget, but would be so much fun for a staycation:
1. Suncadia Resort

I went to Suncadia with my girlfriends this past summer and they have so many lodging options. It’s a beautiful resort and everything is within walking distance so you never need to leave. They have pools and waterslides in the summertime and sledding and ice skating in the winter time.
2. Paradise Inn on Mt. Rainier

Hanging out on Mt. Rainier is like walking around in a painting. It’s so beautiful. I would love to hunker down in a room with a beautiful view like that for a couple of days!
3. Sleeping Lady

Okay so it’s another mountain resort. I’m seeing a trend here. Maybe I just have a hankering to get trapped by snow somewhere. But this one has sleigh rides and a hot pool!
4. Lakedale Resort

This resort offers all kinds of lodging on the San Juan islands, including glamping and staying in a lakeside airstream. Sounds so fun!
5. Treehouse Point

These look amazing, but I believe there is an age requirement for kids. I’ve been wanting to book one of the walking tours, but they’re full every time I look! Take a look at their Instagram page, so many gorgeous looking treehouses!
I’ve shared other unique destinations in Washington before, hoping someday I can start checking them off my list instead of making it longer!
Now it’s your turn!

John Holton says
I’ll probably never get back to the Pacific Northwest, but those are very attractive destinations. Well; except for the one where you stay in an Airstream…
