I joined a Fantasy Football league for the first time ever.
My friend Marci is in one every year and it looked like fun.
I know nothing about football, but like the idea of weekly matchups with friends.
I asked my brother in law to help create my team.
He basically started running it every week and my friends got annoyed.
I was winning and that’s not why they invited me to play.
I did not realize there was Fantasy Football Etiquette one must adhere to or risk upsetting others.
I felt bad for upsetting the dynamics of my friends league.
I texted my sister to ask her to tell my brother in law to stop managing my team.
She quickly responded that she would like me to reconsider because it’s actually my 9-year-old nephew running the team and not my brother in law at all and he would be devastated to lose the opportunity as he looks forward to working on it everyday after school.
My friends are getting beat by an elementary school kid.
I think I’ll keep him.

So everyone else doing fantasy football is being beaten by a 9-year-old? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And it sounds like everyone else in that fantasy league wanted you to play because they figured you didn’t know anything and they’d all be able to beat you… That’s too funny….
Seriously, it’s nice to see young boys interested in statistics and all the numbers that go into building a fantasy team. My nephew got started around the same time. It’s to be encouraged. Next time you beat everyone else in your league, you can tell them that no, your brother-in-law has nothing to do with running your team. You’ll be telling the truth, after all…

Yes, they’re all getting beat by a 9 year old and it’s hilarious. I’m proud of him AND impressed!

Go, nephew! I’d keep him, too, and let the friends continue to be annoyed. I never realized there was fantasy football etiquette, either, but here we are, right?
I participated again this week, though I’m way late because I’m still having Mr. Linky issues. But my post is here if you get a chance to come by!
