3. List 7 things that bring you comfort.
Last week I shared a lot of things that make me feel uncomfortable so it felt right to follow it up with a list of things that bring me comfort. I started my list with “Rainy Days” and then decided to search my site for the word “comfort” to see if I’d written about this before. As it turns out, I’ve already answered this prompt back in 2016 and at the top of the list was Rain. At least I’m consistent! So I suppose this will be a part 2 of things that make me feel like a happy, snuggly, confident kitten:
1. Staying Home
There is just something about a day (or everyday) spent at home without any pressing concerns to jet off and run errands that I find super comforting.
2. The Smell of Coffee
3. The Words “I’ll take care of it…”
Particularly when they are not spoken by me.
4. Money
I believe what they say is true about “Mo Money Mo Problem” and that “Money can’t buy you happiness”, but I also think money brings a sense of security. I like it when you don’t need to check your bank account to see how much you can afford to spend on gas…just enough money to offer comfort at home with a little leftover to maybe saving for a trip to a tropical island.
5. Wool Socks
I have the coldest feet ever at all times. Wool socks are like slipping into a heated heaven for feet.
6. Baby Animals
This is a given. They bounce around all happy and cute and then they purr and snuggle in. I love all the baby animals!
7. My Family
Without family, I feel like I would just a broken version of myself. They are the ultimate comfort!
Now it’s your turn!
Choose a prompt, post it on your blog, and come back to add your name to the link list below. Be sure to sign up with the actual post URL and not just your basic blog URL (click on the title of your post for that URL). For good comment karma try to comment on the three blogs above your name!!
The Prompts:
1. Write a poem, post or story where the last two words are ‘fall down’.
2. Write a blog post inspired by the word: task
3. List 7 things that bring you comfort.
4. Tell us about the last party you attended.
5. Share a list of some of your most recent favorite things.

I see you’ve named your kitten “Harry.” A very cute name!
Ever notice that the people who say “mo’ money, mo’ problems” and “money can’t buy happiness” are loaded?

I’m with you on all of these.
I’m divorced, and will probably never meet anyone because I really don’t get out that much. I love spending time at home. I also like doing fun things – just last night a gentleman asked me to meet him for an Espresso Martini at our local speakeasy, but I didn’t go because I’d had a rough day and was already at home and out of my bra. And once the bra comes off, it’s not going back on until the next work day or urgent event!
As for money, I know you said money can’t buy you happiness. But I love the security it brings as well. I managed to drop weight when I had extra money in my bank account and didn’t have to stress over how I was going to pay bills. For real! I didn’t even have to try; the weight just came off. It *is* true that stress, at least for some people like me, will hinder weight loss.

I popped in to see if you were still doing the weekly writing prompts. I’m leaving social media for 2020 but plan to blog much more seriously over the course of the year, so I’ll check out the prompts again! They were such a big part of my old blog (Diane’s Addled Ramblings) back in the day! I miss those days :(.

I’ve definitely slowed my roll on social media too. It can feel exhausting and loud and chaotic. I fully support a return of old school blogging and sharing our feelings!! Welcome back! :)

Holy cow, look at you over here with your blog still alive. High fiving you. Mine wants a new life like Diane’s up there^^^. I’m dubious right this minute that it’s happening. I miss it too.
