4. Write a blog post inspired by the word: Enough.
We have new additions to the household and I cannot get ENOUGH! Kitten season has officially begun and I picked up a darling litter of Tuxedo kittens about two weeks ago.
Mama kitty is taking great care of them and they are at that wonderful age where they are sort of just staying put and sleeping all day. I know this time is short-lived and soon they will be scaling the cardboard wall I have set up to keep them confined so I’m enjoying their teeny tiny faces for now.
Our little litter of 5 kittens are mostly boys (4) and one little black and white girl. We named them after the five Washington State volcanoes. Meet Rainier, Baker, Glacier, Adams and Helen:
Mama we named Cascade, she’s pretty small and if I had to guess I’d say she’s under a year old herself:
And I do have top secret news that I’m hiding from my husband…we’re going to adopt one of the babies. When we had the last litter of kittens Laina really begged to adopt one, but did not want to spend her money. This time, she wants to spend her money and we have a family favorite. I really hope I’m not going to regret this, BUT little Rainier might be ours forever.
My brother adopted Berry from our last litter and she’s been staying with us while he preps his house to move.
I found that having her around inside has been pretty easy and has not been a deal-breaker in terms of the number of animals we have inside. So incorporating Rainier should be a breeze! I’m just going to tell Pat that it has medical issues and needs to be fostered a little extra longer…like forever. ;)

Aww, so adorable. Who could resist not adopting one?

They’re absolutely precious! Looks like Baker takes after Daddy rather than Mama. Little Helen looks like Moe, one of our late cats (Moe, Larry, and Curly; Larry was the boy). Your brother’s cat has grown into a very handsome young man (or very pretty young lady; guess you can no longer assume that orange cats are male, can you?)
Doesn’t surprise me in the least that Cascade knew what to do, despite her youth. Our Momcat Judy was about the same age when she delivered hers. in another couple of weeks she’ll be begging as if to say “get me AWAY from these damn KITTENS!”
I’m happy for you all that you’ll be adopting little Rainier. Do you think Isis will get over the indignity off no longer being an only kitty?

I don’t know if you can communicate to the other linkers, but Traci @CookingwTraci needs to be told her comment section won’t accept a blog http; it keeps asking for a “url” and rejects me leave a comment.. So she needs to adjust something in WordPress. I haven’t been able to post a comment there for weeks because of this.

Awwww….such little loves!
How lucky are they to have you? And, great choice with giving Rainer a forever home!
