2. Tell us about one of your favorite places.
“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned” ~ Maya Angelou -Now write.
When Pat walks through the door I scream, “Honey!!! Honey!!” in the most obnoxious high-pitched voice.
I do it for the dogs. Because when any of us come home they get so excited and jump all over us. It’s my way of alerting them that he’s here and sure enough they come running over to trample him in the doorway every time.
It’s gotten to the point where all I have to do is see his car and say, “honey??” and they start thumping their tales because they know what’s coming.
Pat recently mentioned how endearing he finds my daily welcoming.
Ahhhh home.
Where I can behave like a loon and be loved not just in spite of it, but for it.
My favorite place to be.
Now it’s your turn!

2. Tell us about one of your favorite places.
3. A job you would like if you didn’t have the job you have.
4. Write a blog post inspired by the word: stop.
5. Tell us about a treat you loved as a child, but rarely indulge in as an adult.
6. Write about a vacation you would love to take.

You have to get video of Pat coming home. That’d be worth seeing…
Be it ever so humble, right? I find the older you get, the more you just want to be home. This long period of my being at home all the time hasn’t bothered me for that reason.

Home….has become even more of a safe haven in the past two + years, than ever, it seems.
But, the greeting Pat gets…priceless. Just warmed my heart.
