I’ve been too busy chasing Kainoa to ever process that one day he would be too big for me to tackle. I chased him down hallways as a tickle monster. I chased him down sidewalks toward parks. I chased him through parking lots for that elusive hand to hold. I chased him through the aisles of Target and I’m willing to bet the two of us have completed many marathons together if you were to just compile every moment of me chasing after him for one thing or another.
But it happened! He got to be too big. I miss that baby boy but as his 15th birthday looms I have to say I am glad all of the chasing is over…although I might prefer it over the driving version of him I’m about to meet.
Pretty sure I could still tackle him if I needed to.
Happy Birthday Kainoa!

He’s a good-looking kid, and happy birthday to him!
Okay, I have to ask: how tall is Pat?
Mama Kat says
I think he’s a handsome little devil too. :) Pat is 5’6″…I broke my “don’t date men shorter than me” rule on him.
