3. Tell us about a time you accepted a dare.
Sometimes I look back on where my blogging journey has taken me and I cannot believe some of the things I did. Was it really this lifetime that I jumped on a plane to California to join a blog friend and appear with her in some sort of YouTube show for Cafe Mom called “I’ll Take That Dare”? It sure was!
The “Dare” was to put on roller skates and work in a diner for a day. We wore tiny skirts. We very slowly skated laps around the restaurant.
We served some very nice men burgers and omelettes. We skated all day and I got the feeling the producers of the show really wanted to capture a fall. However, the restaurant was really operating and had real waitresses trying to do their jobs I was feeling like I really didn’t want to make too much of a spectacle. There was no falling and I’m sure the video still lives on YouTube somewhere.
I couldn’t have been paid more than $200 for this appearanence and yet I eagerly jumped at the opportunity. Such a weird a journey this blog has taken me on. I wouldn’t change it for a thing, but also you couldn’t catch me doing it now.
At least not for $200…add another zero and I might accept that dare again.

I thought you did really well! And you looked cute in the uniform…
Hey, is MamaKatTV still a thing? You haven’t posted there in a while….

That is pretty darn daring! I don’t think I could have. Mainly because I’m pretty bad at roller skating. I wonder if you’re still in touch with your server friends.
