This week’s drink recipe was pulled from my handy cocktail calendar and lucky me, June is the month of Margaritas! It’s one of the few drinks I happen to be quite familiar with!:
(video here)
Mix a shot of Tequila, Triple Sec, and Lime Juice in a cocktail shaker and pour over rocks into a salted margarita glass and enjoy a classic 3 ingredient margarita. Super easy. :)
Cheers!
John Holton says
Get a jigger, or double shot glass, like the ones on the right side of this picture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_glass#Jigger
The big side is 1.5 ounces (a jigger), the smaller 1 ounce (a pony). A little bigger than 35 ml and 20 ml, but that doesn’t matter, the proportions do.
Now the recipe is: 1 jigger tequila, 1 pony triple sec, 1 jigger lime juice (either fresh-squeezed or ReaLime juice). Pour all three over ice, shake or stir, strain into a margarita glass (with or without a salted rim). Garnish with lime wedge.
I learned to mix drinks when I was around 11, back before anyone but lab geeks worried about metric measurements, which are, pardon my French, a huge pain in the ass.
