5. List your five most recent favorite things.
1. My Little Bop

Harper is not a most recent favorite thing, she’s been on my favorites list for three years and counting! However, she was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and I find myself even extra willing to buy her anything in the world to make her happy and cure her of epilepsy. I hate that she is going through this!
2. Tessa Was Adopted
I only had my foster puppy Tessa for a little over a week and she did a great job of reminding me that the last thing I need in my house is a puppy. Cute as can be, but not potty trained in the slightest and hyper as any Border Collie mix puppy might be. Maybe I should have slipped her some of Jack’s CBD oil. The best part of my experience with Tessa was watching her reunite with her brother when I brought her back to the animal shelter for her adoption. He was already booked in a kennel and they were pretty cute together. I’m glad I was able to film it!:
3. Kids In Sports
Watching my kids play sports makes me so happy. I love seeing them push themselves to do something they didn’t think they could do. Pat and I passive-aggressively bullied them into playing our favorite sport and when they first started they couldn’t even serve a volleyball over the net. I would hold my breath for them when they got to the service line and then cheer wildly with the other parents when they got one over. Four years later they’re still serving and I’m still holding my breath, but man they’re fun to watch!
4. Snow Days
As if the several snow days we had here at home were not enough, I got to travel to the mountains for my friend Marci’s birthday and enjoy even more of it! I know half of the country is eager to see it all melt away, but it’s still on my favorites list!
5. Slow Work Days
I don’t want to jinx myself, but my work load has been considerably lighter for the last couple of months. I actually had time to clean a couple things and grocery shop. At night is when I get to work on things like blogging and video editing, but during the day I work for an influencer and content marketing agency and it’s the kind of job that could have me glued to my inbox all day (and sometimes does). There’s just always something left to be done, but lately it’s been nice to feel like I can clock out.

Harper is adorable. I really hope they can adjust her meds quickly so her seizures get under control. It takes time, but they know so much more about epilepsy now than they did when I was growing up. I have faith.
Tessa was part border collie? Wonderful breed, but definitely Type A personality.
I’ll have some prompts for you this afternoon.

Regarding your day job, what exactly is an “influencer?” What does working for a “marketing content agency” actually involve? (aside from a full inbox)
Mama Kat says
Influencers is sort of the umbrella word used to identify online content creators who have a following on a social platform (Instagram, Facebook, Blog, YouTube, etc). I work for Swaygroup dot com and they create campaigns where influencers are hired to write sponsored content. So for example, maybe Nike wants to promote a new shoe line. They want 10 bloggers to create content about the shoe line. We hire the bloggers and my job is to make sure they have all of the directions for the campaign, review their work, get it approved and make sure it all gets published correctly. Does that make sense?
