2. Share something you made progress on.
I think my summer garden will be ready to call it a season soon, but I love the progress I made on it! I heard on a podcast recently that one key to “staying young” is to start a garden.
I guess having something to care for that is rewarding and purposeful is that new fountain of youth. I don’t feel younger, but I do love checking on my growing flowers and veggies!
Pat thought for sure I would start something I couldn’t finish because the last time I decided to be a farmer it lasted a year and then became an overgrown eye sore. Technically Pat is not exactly wrong unless I fail to resume my farm next spring.
I already have plans to extend it though. I want to move the veggie section out into the yard and keep most of the side of the house as a cut flower garden situation. I also want to replace the grass in my backyard with clover and fill every empty space with something pretty to look at.
But my next step will be to cut everything back soon and wait for Spring to begin again!

Wow, looks great and plentiful! Much better than our “someday” garden.
